In this updated for 2024 DayZ Community Server Modding Guide for Beginners & New Starters, I show you how to remove the automatic restart from your Nitrado PlayStation or Xbox Server, and instead use the messages.xml file to have the server restart every 10 hours.

Regular restarts help stop your server from crashing, make it run better and smoother, and give your players and yourself a better DayZ experience.
Your server will give players a countdown warning, in red text, in the bottom left of their screen, before the server restarts.
