DayZ Mod - How to make a fireplace
59In this video I show how to make a fireplace, light a fire and cook meat.
First you need a pile of wood, which can be either found or made, as I do here, using a hatchet in a wooded area. Then, you select the matches and create a fireplace. After that, you have to light it (selecting the proper option with the mouse wheel). At least one pile of wood must be put in it for it to sustain the fire.
I had in my bag a couple of pieces of raw meat, which I got from a cow I shot and gutted with the hunting knife. After putting those in my immediate inventory, I was able to select the option to cook them (again with the mouse wheel).
