In this video I show you how to import mine and / or setup your own gamepad controller template for DayZ PC on the Steam Deck, with the ability and function to rotate items on your inventory and access the numerical hot-bar quick access menu via a radial menu.
You'll also have a button to access the map & turn your head-torch or NVG googles on and off.
If you find you can't import my template, start with the "Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad" template within the Steam Input customization settings.
With this template you should be able to fully play PC DayZ on Steam Deck without the need for a m & k mouse & keyboard, but if you come across key bindings that should be added, please let me know in the comments & I'll update the templates.
If you're playing DayZ Experimental on your SteamDeck, search the templates and you should find another of mine that includes "DayZ Experimental" in the title.
