DCC Fitting Guide: How To Install The Hornby DCC Next18 Sound Decoder Into An N Gauge Model Train
4Here is my DCC Fitting Guide video where I fit the Hornby R7345 HM7000 DCC BlueTooth Next18 DCC Decoder into an N scale model train. The process is no different to installing any other Next 18 decoders BUT A WORD OF CAUTION! If your diesel locomotives has a wide body then this will fit 0 JUST! But this decoder WILL NOT fit any narrow body locomotives like the Class 58, GE Dash 9's or the Tier 4 GEVO without modifications. Same with the Class 70 unless the DCC port is mounted into the fuel tank and only then with some exceptions. I am okay with the Class 60 as it is a snug fit and locomotives like the Class 47, Class 50 etc should be fine but just check your model first to make sure this will fit before investing into these Hornby decoders because they are wider than the ones I normally use as they are designed more TT scale than N scale. Just thought I put this out there.
