Gaugemaster DCC Decoder Issues: Not Impressed To Say The Least
Did I just make a mistake of buying a Junk DCC decoder that is made by Gaugemaster? Well this was supposed to be part of a planned how to video on how to add a Next18 DCC decoder into a ScaleTrains model but as you know. These model trains are harder to get into and to make sure that the decoder is working without issues. I used a Farish Class 60 as the testbed to try out the decoder before fitting it into a ScaleTrains model. Now I am not impressed to say the least with the quality as this one ran fine for about 30 seconds and then it stopped working and I got a short circuit error after the buzzer went off on my controller. Overpriced junk in my opinion and I will use another brand for my ScaleTrains models thanks!
