Here's an interesting match up against two dedicated air to air fighters. So much of this is situational, including range, relative airspeed, and weapons available. However, although the Tomcat holds most of the cards, Mirage pilots need not throw in the towel. The delta-winged interceptor has some excellent traits, which, as is often the case, requires you to fly well to offset the aggressor's large set of advantages.

These matches were all against "Excellent" AI setting.

Generally, in the Mirage, you won't get first look or first shot against the F-14, which means you're gonna need to evade missiles to get into firing range, or ambush. Once in range, the Super 530D actually does a really good job, compared to the AIM-7M in DCS.

Once within visual range...good lord. You have one, maybe one and a half chances to kill the Tomcat. If you screw up that split second opportunity, you're gonna eat a Sidewinder. Merge fast, preferably above Mach 0.8, and use the speed for a high-G turn to put your missiles onto him. You get one shot, make it count...a prolonged turning fight against the Tomcat is a really bad idea. Good practice for those pesky Flankers!

Again, these are 1v1 scenarios, which aren't horribly realistic but do provide good training.
