Dead Rising 2 - Refining the Formula (Review)
651Chuck Greene travels to Fortune City, Nevada to compete in a zombie-killing gameshow called Terror is Reality. Chuck needs the prize money to buy Zombrex, medication that prevents infected people from turning into zombies, for his young daughter, Katey. Unfortunately, an explosion goes off shortly after the show, freeing every zombie that had been rounded up for slaughter. With a news report having blamed Chuck for the outbreak and only three days until the military arrive in town, Chuck has to clear his name, keep his daughter from joining the undead and escape the city!
Dead Rising 2 features a new and, at the time, relatively unknown developer, Blue Castle Games. Capcom certainly took a risk and it'll be interesting to see if it paid off! What changes did the new developers bring? Were they able to honour what came before without outright copying the first title? Would I recommend this game? Find out in this video review!
