The rat bastard Norton sold us out on Danik! In the last chapter, you've noticed Norton speaking to someone on a different channel, and even Isaac was questioning who he was talking to. Just as the group was about to get murdered by Unitology fanatics, the Nexus comes out and attacks them all.
Nearly getting sucked by it, Isaac battles the monstrosity. The boss fight itself is like fighting the Hive Mind from the first Dead Space game, but this time, it's fighting an alien variant of it. It's much smaller than the original one.
Despite that, Isaac gets sucked inside of the thing and nearly gets swallowed up, had it not before the inside weak spots. Once getting spit out, things turn south.
Norton completely loses it, forcing Isaac to shoot the guy down.
At least that bastard shuts up for good. I hated that guy.
