Dealing With Biter Nests [Factorio]
21The video covered the basics, but here is the more in depth version. Using Laser Turrets to deal with biter nests is a personal favorite of mine. I'm not sure if this idea belongs to somebody else but I just decided to do it one day and it worked. Even though late game you can easily take on large Biter hives with Power Armor Mk2 and Energy Shields, the Laser Turret method is still very effective, especially if you are struggling early game.
In this video I use a mod that allows me to build and access items and machines wherever my field of vision reaches. BUT, this has no impact on doing this, even though it does make it easier for obvious reasons. I have done this many times without the mod and it has been perfectly fine. It just needs to be done a bit more carefully and probably while advancing at a slower rate.
