Dealing with reentry burnout - Kerbal Space Program episode 2
Today me and the crew return to Kerbal Space Program, a game where you command and control a NASA like organization for a planet of little green men, and both use and fight against the advanced physics models of the game to get your rockets to not fall over and explode right before launch. In this episode, I strive for the true first goal of any space program, getting something to leave the atmosphere. After several tries and some shameful user error, I am confident that my astronauts can both leave and return through the atmosphere without dying in a fiery explosive fireball even with my well intentioned meddling and poor rocket design. Also something akin to science was done somewhere along the way. Enjoy.
