In the year 5012 AD, aliens invaded Earth and unleashed machine lifeforms which nearly wiped out the entirety of human civilization. Survivors escaped to the moon where they continued their fight against the alien invaders. They developed androids of to wage war, machines to fight machines.
Over 6000 years later, in 11945 AD, the war is still being fought with no clear signs of it ever ending. And it's here we take control of YoRHa No.2 Type B. Or 2B for short. As she carries out her mission for the glory of mankind upon a desolate earth.
However things are amiss, androids are not human and they are not supposed to feel human emotions as they carry out their war against the alien machines. But it would seem the machines of the world, and perhaps 2B herself, have started to become more than just machine.
