Deathloop P1: Rinse and Repeat
We take a hand at Deathloop, a game where you, the character must assassinate 8 targets in a single day.
I found the setting and characters exceptionally fun and enjoyable to see, and the classic dishonoured type gameplay is always a nice thing. The multiplayer "Invasions" by Juliana are what spices the game up, leading to some very tense and chaotic gameplay whie the 3 life system gives you room to recover.
HOWEVER, the ai is abysmal and there simply isn't any challenge fighting them. The ai variety is also lacking, and the games limited areas become repetitive to traverse, often leading to you blitzing through areas barely interacting with the enemies just to kill your targets.
This leads to a good looking, interesting game becoming a glorified running simulator, and as such does not have any replayability (which for a game based on replaying a days events over and over is not good!)
In summary, a solid 6/10 game: Great setting, Great Plot Mediocre Gameplay.
