It contains fixes for security issues, along with a few fixes for serious issues. It is reminded that this point release does not create a new version of Debian 10, but updates some of the packages it contains. It is stated that packages can be upgraded to current versions using an up-to-date Debian mirror.It is stated that Debian 10 “Buster” users, who normally update via security.debian.org, do not need a new installation

Debian GNU/Linux 10.12 and 11.3 released
The Debian project released two point releases over the weekend. The first concerns Debian 10 "Buster", which is currently maintained as oldstable, while the second concerns the current stable release, Debian 11 "Bullseye".
OpenSSL update
The Debian 10.12 point release mainly contains fixes for security issues, as well as some adjustments for serious issues. The OpenSSL update in this interim release includes a change that ensures that the requested signature algorithm is supported by the active security layer. In the event that outdated RSA+SHA1 signatures have to be used, the security level must be -cipher ALL:@SECLEVEL=1temporarily lowered with .
Careful adjustment
Otherwise, as is usual with such point releases, the updates mainly fix security problems that have accumulated since the last update, along with a few adjustments for serious problems in applications. These adjustments are only made in the point releases if no regressions are to be feared.
Updating to Debian 10.12 brings 73 bug fixes or updates and closed 78 security issues since the last update. The two packages angular-maven-plugin and minify-maven-plugin have been removed as they are no longer needed.
Updated images available
Updating to Debian 11.3 of the current stable release made 91 fixes to packages and fixed 83 security issues. The two same packages as in 10.12 have been removed. Separate security advisories have already been released for the security issues; where possible, reference will be made to these in the announcement.
Users who apply updates more frequently will have already received many of the changes. For new installations, fresh images are available as live images and as installers for the supported architectures for Debian 10.12 and Debian 11.3 . Existing users update their installations as usual via package management.
