While the Debian project is pleased to announce the second update of the stable distribution Debian 12 (codenamed “Bookworm”), it is stated that this point release mainly adds fixes for security issues, as well as a few tweaks for serious issues. While it is stated that security recommendations have already been published separately and should be referenced whenever possible, it should be noted that this point version does not create a new version of Debian 12, but only updates some of the packages it contains. It is stated that the new installation patterns will soon be available in regular locations, but those who constantly update their systems do not need these patterns.
