Deep Rock Galactic is a cooperative first-person shooter video game made by the Danish studio Ghost Ship Games and published by Coffee Stain Publishing Deep Rock Galactic was fully released on May 13, 2020, for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One, after two years in early access. It came out in January 2022 for the PS4 and the PS5. Deep Rock Galactic is the first game made by Ghost Ship Games. They said that having community feedback helped them make changes to the game's mechanics and design and choose which features to add first. The low-poly art style was chosen because it was faster than a more detailed art style. They said that the hardest part of making the game was making the procedural world generator. Deep Rock Galactic was made with the Unreal Engine's Blueprint scripting. The game is still being worked on, and new biomes, equipment, and accessories are added to it from time to time.
