Defending with a Rook against Bishop and Connected Passed Pawns is no easy task | Praveen vs Sarayu
It is well-known that pawns in the endgame are quite valuable, especially if they are connected passed pawns, they become more powerful. The more you have the better it is. While Prasad P Praveen (2222) had a bishop, two connected passed pawns and a passed pawn on the h-file, his opponent former National Under-13 Girls champion, Sarayu Velpula (1571) had a rook and an isolated passed pawn on the f-file.
