A charming pixel-art 2D platformer set on the moon, Moon Raider features catchy tunes and a single fun ability, used over 10 unique biomes. I was one of the Kickstarter backers, drawn in by the visuals and gameplay snippets we were shown.

Sadly, there's not really any meat to the game, with repetitive gameplay and little challenge, as well as some frustrating design decisions which pad out the rather short experience. The game only has one unique ability/power collectable, which it gives you towards the start and leaves you expecting to get more -- which never materialise.

A more simplistic gaming experience suitable for younger children, with no real replay value.
