0SINGLE PLAYER REALM OF THE RAT KING - 40 minutes Completed.
Well, I figured I had better record a Single player run in the RAT KING DLC just to show others it can be done with ease if you just play out the character correctly, and No Coin Flip needed...at all, its quite easy if you know your character.
This is my second run for the Rat with a single player, I got him both times. Assassin in both cases as well, but this one was a lil more hairy indeed, so I thought to post the gameplay, this is on Rift-S - PCVR
No rush for time here, I actually was careful to grab almost every single penny and gold coin in the dungeon levels for the sweet sweet card shopping, and in the end, after HUNTING down that fat Rat on his level, I cornered him, and got those daggers in as deep as they would go, and that was that, it even put me over to the last level, 45! hahah Bonus!
Sadly, thru the current gameplay balance, there isnt much choice as far as what SINGLE character to use in the game, the Rat has far too many minions for anyone else to survive alone, and there is a need for a more combat friendly option all around, with the Rat able to deliver 10+ points in a single attack, X2 if in berserk mode, so up to 20 points of damage in a Single hit?!?!?!...the fun gets lost in just the entire party being hammered, and then just struggling to stand up for another round of that, as a million small 1 point deductions just chew away all the points in the entire squad, which is a bit lame a tactic on the Devs part.
More complex creatures, Traps, and areas will add to DEMEO in the future, and the recent concept art of a more open, outdoors area would be a welcome addition to open up the game, creating areas with random encounters, new places to explore that are discovered, etc.
Now, lets see the DEMEO team Really flesh this out...lets see 50 new monsters, and 50 new cards, lets see 20 new Character specific cards, Each, lets see 20 new Boss creatures, that can be added to an adventure, and the ability to level up a character, night after night with friends in an adventure you can save and go back to time after time, created from a random, completely custom procedurally created space only your party will ever know or see.
For now, I'm pretty much done with DEMEO, have been for a while, cool as it is, the replay is far far too repetitive, and even with the new DLC, its just the same old DEMEO, but now, it smore of a slog thats all, more creatures to nip at your health points, more cheap deaths after being just over run, more deaths due to the shadow function failing horribly, so, for now, its bye bye DEMEO, you were fun, but, your boring now, get some new stuff, and I will be back for more.
Fingers crossed they go all the way with this.
