Descent - Does the Division franchise have a MODE problem?
The Division and the Division 2 seem to like filling long and boring content droughts with "new and innovative" ways to play the game. Most of us know them as the modes, Underground, Survival, Resistance, Kenly College, Summit, Countdown, and the upcoming Descent... The problem is none of the modes really succeed at being the reason we play the game. And while small vocal minorities might claim one mode or another is the best thing in the game, like survival, the general player base does not even come close in supporting such opinions. So, does the Division franchise have a mode problem? If so why do they insist on wasting so much time making these things if they come out half baked and unappealing to so many players?
