A very hard and tricky level...

The trouble starts right at the beginning: There isn't enough room to fight diamond claws in that matcen right at the beginning. So i decided to use smart mines to exhaust it, hoping for a gauss cannon which doesn't come, after the fourth spawn I decided to escape the area.

The next source of problem are those little pesky red hornets...They are everywhere, and their behavior is set to hit and run, they are very hard to hit.

No to mention all smelters are cloaked. You must know where they are otherwise you are surprised...

If you enter the room near the beginning. Make sure you put bombs behind the windows as 3 bulk destroyer comes out from each of them.

The blue room is tricky... You must not hit the trigger before entering, because the grated wall reactivates, you must hit it from inside. You can use the little area to stay in cover from the cloaked smelters that are firing under the floor.

Also in this boss level there is a thief bot...

To get the red key, you can use the secret passage in the shaft that leads to the exit, there a lot of red hornets, bper bots, and cloaked smelters, but also a lot of goodies and energy centers. Super smelters in the red key room can be sniped from there from safe distance.

In the red key room, make sure you don't cross the end of the energy center, otherwise you'll open two doors with 2 matcens behind them which will activate, and is quite problematic to clear.

You can find cloaking devices everywhere, so use one to enter the secret level. I picked up a lot of stuff there, but interested in getting shields and guided missiles.

Returning from secret level turns off recording. So I needed to record another one. I record playback is quite glitchy: it doesn't track your gauss cannon, smart mines, guided missiles, and seems to forget that you are cloaked... Those guys at Parallax didn't tested this feature thoroughly...

I used invulnerability to beat the shit out of the boss quickly, but then I didn't find the guy after it teleported, so I went defensive, and used guided missiles and the phoenix.

To get the shakers at the end you must hit the trigger in the exit corridor, this isn't easy, when the whole level is shaking in the meltdown...

There are no hostages in this level.
