Part 1 - A New Pokemon Journey Begins!

Oh yes folks, it's time for my next Pokemon journey in the Galar region where the goal of my player character is to compete to become the very best. In this case, I name my player character, Francesca (based off the name of the Octoling character in my Splatoon 2 videos) and will be initially based off of Gloria's base design until we get to customise her looks later on in the playthrough. After watching Champion Leon take on his biggest rival Rhihan (the last gym leader, spoiler warning!), Francesca is visited in her home at Postwick by her rival in this game, Hop who comes in with his Wooloo. Once Francesca and Hop find Leon in the nearby town of Wedgehurst with his Charizard. Once Leon goes back to Postwick, both Francesca and Hop choose their starter Pokemon (in this case, I choose Scorbunny as he is the best one to start). Once they rest up, Leon pits Francesca and Hop together for the first rival battle in the game. Francesca emerges the victor with Hop having more to learn about his strategy. However, another Wooloo smashes a gate open that leads to the Slumbering Weld, where both trainers encounter a mysterious Pokemon, but they pass out and Leon finds them with his Charizard. Francesca and Hop both head on over to the Pokemon Reserach Lab in Wedgehurst to get their Pokedexes for their journey, but more to come in the next part.
