Destiny 2 Vow of the Disciple – Mastering Rhulk Encounter, Triumphs & Exotic Collective Obligation

In this session, our primary focus was on farming the final boss, Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, and putting our raid mechanics to the test. I started out in the Runner 1 role and, halfway through the encounter, switched to Splitter 1 as we refined our strategy. Our goal was to practice the mechanics and experiment with role transitions, preparing for a featured raid session in the future.
During our run, not only did we master the nuances of the encounter, but we also achieved two important triumphs. We completed the Symmetrical Energy encounter triumph, which challenges you to deposit energy in Dominion – ensuring that every deposit is paired with a second deposit within 5 seconds. In addition, our fireteam earned the weekly triumph Looping Catalyst by keeping the Leeching Essence buff intact throughout the first half of the Rhulk fight. We even managed to defeat Rhulk in two distinct phases, overcoming issues during our role swap and proving our dedication to perfecting our strategy.
A standout moment from our raid was when four of us, including myself, secured the coveted exotic weapon Collective Obligation. This Pulse Rifle, exclusive to the Vow of the Disciple raid, is a game changer—it leeches Void debuffs from enemies and allows you to transfer them to other targets, enhancing your tactical edge in both PvE and PvP encounters.
