Destiny 2 Weapon Crafting Guide for Lightfall - Everything You Need To Know To Craft Weapons
10This is my weapon crafting guide, updated for the new Lightfall expansion. If you are new to Destiny 2 or to the crafting system, this video will give you the information you need to unlock and craft weapons. If you want to know how to get the resources needed to craft weapons, check out the video linked below. There is also a corrections section below in case I need to correct something. Corrections Sections:
From Bungie's Enhancing Weapon Crafting Article:
- Resonant and Harmonic Alloy will be retired in a future season, but will remain for the launch of Lightfall
- Weapon Level Boosting without equiping the weapon (Planned for after Season 21)
- Deepsight Resonant weapons can be scrapped for progress on a pattern, but there is an option to keep the weapon and obtain progress
- Deepsight Activation, which allows you to turn a weapon roll into a Deepsight roll, will have a cost that varies on the source of the weapon (raid weapons will cost more)
- Enhancing Adept Weapons will have 3 tiers, with tier 1 unlocking leveling, masterwork, memento slot, and column 1 and 2 perks on raid weapons, tier 2 unlocks column 3 perks at level 11, and tier 3 unlocks column 4 perks at level 17
- Enhancing Adept Weapons only applies to new raid weapon drops with Lightfall until Bungie finds a solution for a technical problem with older drops
- Weapon Level Boosting is a mod that costs currency to activate to enhance weapon leveling without equiping the weapon
From Bungie's Yearly Director's Cut:
- There will be fewer craftable weapons to make it easier to focus on a smaller set
- Going along with the line above, long-term sources of weapons will have more value in their random rolls (I'm thinking raid weapons)
- New raid adept weapons can start to be leveled up and upgraded with enhanced versions of the perks and masterwork already on the weapon (Planned for after Lightfall Master Raid releases)
- More non-crafted weapons will also get the same treatment from the line above in the future (most likely iron banner and trials of osiris)
- Deepsight resonance will only be on locked weapon patterns (so what I said, but it will only be on the locked weapons)
- New mechanism to activate deepsight, Deepsight Attunement, on a craftable weapon (Planned for Season 21)
