In Patch 11.2 of The War Within, Season 3 introduces a powerful new Chaos Bolt build for Destruction Warlock in Mythic+. Unlike the standard Hellcaller setup, this build uses Diabolist hero talents and focuses entirely on Chaos Bolt as your shard spender, no Rain of Fire, even in AoE.

In this guide, I’ll explain how the build works, the talents you need, and how to play it in dungeons. We’ll cover Soul Shard generation, Conflagrate Backdraft synergy, Channel Demonfire with Roaring Blaze, Havoc vs Mayhem for cleave, and how to set up your opener with Infernal.

This build is designed for Mythic+ in Patch 11.2, Season 3, and requires the 4-set bonus to function. If you don’t have the tier set yet, stick with the standard Hellcaller build I covered in my previous Destruction Warlock guide.
