Dev Diary: Enemy field of view
Field of View is actually quite an important gameplay element. So this week was based on pathfinding and field of view. The enemy needs to not only see the player, but find a way to get them. Especially true for a melee class zombie.
So I've been using Apex Path for the pathfinding portion. It's a great asset with horrid documentation. So learning was slow but bearable.
The field of view is a mix of my own AI logic and a slew of others found across the web. A small thanks to Brackey's forthe LookAt portion.
Everything put together, make my zombies a true evil dead.
