Devil May Cry 5 - Devil Sword Dante Tutorial! (Read Description!)
13*Hey everyone!*
This is my fifth Devil May Cry 5 tutorial, and it focuses on **Dante’s weapon: Devil Sword Dante**. This is 100% made by me. Let’s get right into it!
⚙️ *Pre-Tutorial Notes*
This tutorial is paired with Swordmaster style, as it unlocks the full moveset
Assumes all DSD skills are unlocked
Like the third tutorial, I’ve included a *suggested combo*
I'm using an Xbox controller layout; PS4 layout is the same
Video shows each move in the exact order listed here
Mock names are given to moves for easier understanding
🎮 *Controller Layout*
Lock-on: RB
Light Attack: Y
Trick/Style Action: B
Guns: X
Jump: A
Devil Trigger: LB
Switch Gun: LT
Switch Weapon: RT
🗡️ *Basic Actions*
Combo 1 = Y,Y,Y
Combo 2 = Y (short pause), Y,Y (Hold Y at the end to keep attacking)
Combo 3 = Y,Y (short pause), Y,Y (Hold Y at the end to keep spinning the sword)
Air Combo 1 = Y,Y,Y,Y
Sword Formation = Hold Y (Conjures floating swords with passive effects; see Passives section)
⚔️ *Devil Sword Dante Skills*
Sword Uppercut = RB + Back + Y (Hold Y to launch upward with enemy)
Ground Slam = RB + Back + Y (mid-air)
Stinger / Dash Sword = RB + Forward + Y
Thousand Sword Strikes = After Stinger, keep holding Y and release Forward
Sword Wave = RB + Back to Forward + Y (Hold Y for a stronger wave — glow level indicates power)
Triple Sword Wave = After Sword Wave, press Y quickly to shoot two more waves
💡 *Suggested Combo*
Combo 2 → Sword Uppercut → Y,Y,Y → Ground Slam → Sword Wave → Triple Sword Wave
✨ *Passives (From Sword Formation)*
*Swordmaster* = Swords strike enemy whenever you attack
*Gunslinger* = Swords fire projectiles automatically
*Trickster* = Swords enable repeated jumps, dashes, and air tricks
*Royal Guard* = Swords create a forward-facing damage-absorbing shield
🎯 *Swordmaster Style Skills*
These can be used freely, even while charging or performing other actions!
4 Strikes = Press B
4 Stingers = RB + Forward + B
Sling Blades = Hold B, then release B
4 Uppercuts = RB + Back + B
Ultimate DSD Combo = RB + Back to Forward + B,B,B,B,B (Spam B for full power!)
