I play games poorly!

Developed by Valhalla Game Studios and publish by Nintendo SPD, Devil's Third is the infamous Wii U exclusive which see's you take control of the muscled up, tattooed Russian bad-ass Ivan as he hacks, slashes and shoots his way through a terrorist organization in an attempt to, you guessed it, save the world! This game also featured online play when released. Sadly, I wasn't able to experience it since the servers were shut down on the Wii U some time ago. I believe; however, you can still access them on Windows which is nice since the online seemed like a unique experience.

Despite the low reviews, I really enjoyed my time with this game. It's extremely over-the-top, uber violent with a lot of gore. The characters, plot and dialogue seem like it was written by an over-enthusiastic 10-year-old who was asked what their ideal action game is. At one point this game even throws zombie-like enemies at you. They literally threw everything against the wall when designing this game, and for me, it all worked! The game doesn't take itself seriously which is a nice change when it comes to today's video game landscape where lots of developers are concerned about conveying a deep and layered message to their audiences. I'm not opposed to those games, I'm simply saying there's room for mindless, dumb fun as well. The game has problems but if you're capable of just sitting back, having a laugh and mowing through Russian baddies then I recommend this game to you.....if you can find an affordable copy anywhere.
