Today we have a dev answering some questions about the new patch that is in the works.

All these posts were made on the official taleworlds forum and i am going to link the beginning of conversation below - https://bit.ly/2A5n4tc

Here we go:

- First we have someone asking if there will be an update today.

Devs responded that there will be no regular patch today and that they
are still working on it.

There may or may not be a hotfix because the devs stated that there will
be no regular patch, but that is my guess, so we will see.

- Second we have another user posting a community manager reply that was written in Turkish. He states that it reads "Don't expect patches on Fridays I would say."

I translated this and got the same thing, so it looks like taleworlds
does not release patches on Friday.

In the past we have received big patches and big hot fixes on Thursday,
Friday and Saturday so i think this community manager just means not
this Friday.

- Third we have a player asking the dev if 1.4.2 is the latest patch and
how the process of beta and live works.

Devs state that first a patch is in beta, then when the devs are ready,
they release a new beta patch and put the past beta patch to live. Beta
will always have new content and hotfixes are there to address somewhat
significant problems in the beta or live.

Also another player asked which is the better version, the beta or the
stable patch.

Devs replied that there is really no answer to that. The beta is for
exploring new things and testing stuff out. The live stable patch is for a
more reliable experience.

While this is basic information, some players might of been confused and
this would be helpful for them.

- Last we have a player complaining about new patches breaking their mods and that he cannot play without them.

The devs responded that you can opt into one patch and not received auto
updates that would break your mods.

I have stated this in almost all my patch videos and the devs have also
stated this.

If you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the
stable live patch of the game.

Those were all the statements that were made and i want to say that i
appreciate devs being vocal and also standing up for their work. Keep up
the good work, do not mind the impatient people, just work on the game and keep us up to date!
