Updated e1.4.2 Top Policies to Propose! - https://youtu.be/bTaMR4KSmYc
FULL SCRIPT:
Today we are going to talk about devs speaking about the TaleWorlds
team and also some recent decisions made in terms to bannerlord and criticism received for the changes.

All these posts were made on the official taleworlds forum and i am going to link the beginning of conversation below - https://bit.ly/2AWCRuw

Here we go:
- First someone the forum stated that the devs completely nerfed the troop
XP perks such as Raise the meeks and Combat tips.

The devs responded and explained that it was not a nerf, but a fix to a
broken perk and also that perks should not have a huge effect in the game
since there is hundreds of them.

Also the devs stated that more perks that have to do with troop xp gain will
be added in the future.

I agree with the devs overall statement. Perks should help the player, but
not in a overpowered game changing way. As the devs explained it in this
scenario, 85% of the xp troops gain should be from battle and the other 15%
should be passive XP gain.

- Second someone else on the forum stated that the devs are essentially
focusing on the wrong parts of the game and that the changing the xp gain
was not needed. The main focus should be on the war problem and truce issues.

A dev responded and stated that he was against the the removal of the
original 25 day truce period, but bannerlord has a team of 80 people working
on it and are spread out to focus on different aspects of the game. There is
not one person that makes all the final decisions on every aspect of the
game. So problems will be fixed in time, mistakes happen, but will be fixed.

Also the devs defended the change in xp gain and went into depth on why it
was a bug and is now working as it is suppose to. Also if people want
overpowered perks, they can use mods or cheats, but the devs are not going to
put game breaking perks into the game.

Again i agree with the devs and i really like that they stand their ground
and not just throw fake apologies to calm the situation down. The game
has a lot of people working on it and changes get made and pushed out into
the beta for beta testing and to see its results on gameplay. The fact that
players are frustrated and impatient and to be honest to lazy to revert to
a stable live patch is not the devs fault. Also changes to broken and
overpowered bugs and exploits should not be frowned upon, they want a stable
game and a fair one. How can you complain about a broken war system, but
want a broken perk system. I really appreciate the devs standing
their ground.

- Third someone else commented in regards to troop leveling and said
there should be a system like in warband, that as you build up a certain
skill like the trainer skill in warband, your troops upgrade faster.

The devs stated an idea to make the leadership perk give you 0.05 experience
to each troop in your party per players leadership level. So with 100
leadership, all troops under you get 5 XP per day. This idea was
unfortunately rejected as of now, but a lot of devs are in favor of it.

Unfortunately i do disagree with the overall decision of rejecting this
idea, it makes perfect sense, but at the same time it could cause a lot more
problems. It will not only give the player the troop xp gain, but
also all the lords in the game, and with the current state of lords
respawn and how fast they can bring another army out of thin air, this will
make it impossible for players to make any progress when it comes to war.

- Fourth & last we have someone agreeing with the devs when it comes to the
troop leveling bug that was fixed in the newest hotfix. Also stated that AI
lords level way slower than the player.

The devs again state that their reason to fix this broken perk was to make
other aspects of the game a viable option when it comes to leveling troops.
As the devs state "why would you go to quests, get relations with nobles
and do other things if you can get a broken overpowered perk at lvl 25 of
leadership and just ultralevel all your troops.

Also stated that they have lowered the amount of passive xp AI lords will
get because they can also get the same leadership perks as the player. Since they changed the players passive xp, they also needed to change the AI lords passive xp.

I agree with the points being made here, good changes all around and it
makes everything more balanced as it should be.

Those were all the statements that were made and i want to say that i
appreciate devs being vocal and also standing up for their work. Keep up
the good work, dont mind the impatient people, just work on the game and
keep us up to date!

Lastly, if you would like to play in a stable environment, please play on the
stable live patches of the game.

I have a video on how to revert to a stable patch, link will be down below
if you wish to change back - https://youtu.be/7G4KvZQeLcs
