Alexander summon

- Squall is EX+3LB with his BT, LD, WoI, bloom passive, and character boards. He is equipped with 3 spheres - his own, Noel, and Bartz. Unequipped his BRV Attack+ Up and HP Attack+ Up to make space for other artifacts.

- Steiner is EX+0LB with 3x Atk+108 artifacts

- Cait is EX+0LB.

Steiner is one of the few characters that provide battery for the party with his Spellblade+ and Stock Break grants battery to the party when realized (so invest a book is really a worthwhile investment).

I forget to refresh Squall's LD buff midway through the battle and it turns out to be a blessing in disguise as I have the LD ability to nuke the boss down before it can spawn the launchers.

I use the summon after I pass the 50% HP threshold where I am in a position that I am unable to do an AOE BRV shaving. In the summon, I use Squall's LD (luckily the stacking don't drop off if you forget to refresh it). Focus targeting on the main boss.

I tried to pull as many turns until the boss HP is down to 20% before I have Squall using his BURST. I was very fortunate that I am able to trigger a launch while in BURST (which allows me to get some BRV battery for both Steiner and Cait). The Launchers are killed in the burst.

The boss will respawn the launchers again 3 turns after you see the status "Lost Control" with lightning bolts jolting it. Thankfully I have a couple of Renzoukuken and the high turn rate moves allow me to move Squall ahead for more turns of damage.

General Points on the boss mechanics

- Unlike the main CHAOS, the boss only had 1 aura trigger at 50% HP. So it is weaker but it is still tough for an underwhelming synergy cast like this (except Squall of course). You need to kill all bosses for the win. The launchers won't die on its own if you defeat the Soul Cannon first.

- The machines will constantly do HP attacks with at least 4k. So keep them broken or BRV low below that threshold is ideal. Don't hesitate to use BRV+ to guard when required.

- I have used Alexander summon for an additional 15% HP regen (trigger for 10T when the character's HP fall below 80%). Cait's HP regen is too weak by today's standards. Brothers or Shiva (SPD and ATK Up) or Leviathan (permanent BRV regen, SPD Down) are other summon options that you can consider for this.

- The boss will remove non-framed buffs with its recast ability. Don't use abilities that give non-framed buffs or the buffs will be wasted. So never use Cait's Mog Dance uses his BRV+ to guard the party. The BRV potency is low so you can survive even with minimal BRV. That ability also inflict Sap for 3T. You have station BRV shaving attacks to mitigate the BRV gains from there. So spam skills after the recast ability is a better option.

- The boss will gain aura "Lose Control" when you kill the launchers. It could reactivate it. I have seen it activated at 80% and 50% HP threshold. It seems after you have killed them, it will reactivate them again after it uses Soul Laser or after a certain amount of turns.

- Old debuff from Launchers is a big problem (inflicted via Launcher's Senescent Missile). At V stacks, it is better to BRV guard because your character stats will be debuffed 100%. My Cait (EX+0LB) is dealing with 0 BRV damage with Old V debuff. Make use of AA to skip the turns to let it lapse. However, if the character has character boards, the impact seems minimal though. (That is the reason why I board Tifa other than she is also one of favorite waifus. It is doable without her character boards.)

General Points on the characters

- On Squall - Use his LD to start the battle. I save his second use when his initial LD buff about lapses or when need to shave AOE BRV. I have reserved 1 LD use after the 50% aura. Please do note that Squall's HP++ deals 50% splash damage. Make use of that to space out his skills. If the launcher has high BRV, have him use Renzoukuken to shave the launcher (100% splash damage will hit the main boss). Renzoukuken has a high turn rate, use it to bring Squall if turn order is not desirable. Use his EX when it is up. It can extend any buffs on Squall for another 2T.

- On Tifa - Upkeep her Fever Time buff. The boss will have a BRV DMG reduction aura at a 50% HP threshold. Without her Fever Time, even Tifa will have difficulty in shaving BRV. Hold onto her AA and use it when you need to skip turns for the Sap/Old debuffs to lapse. She doesn't do a lot of AOE BRV is her weakness here. But do have her attack the launchers if their BRV is too high. It is better than taking a huge HP damage.

- On Cait - Ideally, you want to use Mog Dance after the recast ability. The buff turns should be sufficient. BRV+ when need to guard the party against Breaks. Use Toy Soldier++ if you need to do AOE shaving. Have him take defensive measures when it is at Stack III and above.
