DFFOO GL - Cor Is Still The Immortal - Freya/Y'shtola/Cor VS Safer Sephiroth
Thought this would be a fun one to show what Cor can still do. Safer Sephiroth has a lot of ALL attacks, so by placing Cor's buff on Freya, having her jump, and then placing it on Y'shtola, the buff won't fall off Freya. This means Cor counters three times whenever Sephiroth does an ALL attack. While Cor lacks Lv. 90 stacks right now, Freya's follow-up keeps him topped up on BRV to do strong damage and when I get Y'shtola's BT effect up, he caps consistently. Using a Sazh LDCA for crit buffs allows Freya and Cor to manage the Orb really well as they will push it up on Sephiroth's turns, and Cor can push it up by three in one turn when Sephiroth uses an ALL attack. Y'shtola also has no trouble doing damage with all of the BRV Gain going on.
Cor's buff also provides minor BRV and HP Damage Reduction and prevents party members with it from being broken. Only exception is Sephiroth's 19% threshold attack since it has insta-break. It was the only attack to do real damage and I was still safe to take attacks after since Sephiroth dealt chip damage otherwise.
I played patiently with Freya until the Orb came up so I always had options to get her back into the air later. No need to waste her LD uses early on when they come in handy later. I tried to use a Laguna friend to set up Desperado for Y'shtola BT phase but it was a bit too awkward to set up and not at all needed anyway.
