Note: Ardyn and Lilisette are EX 3LB with their bloom passives. Ardyn has his enhancement boards, his sphere, and LD. No artifacts equipped on Ardyn. Lilisette has 3x Moonshade Butterfly Boost ** artifacts. Maria is EX+0LB. All 3 characters have maxed summon boards.

We don't have many options other than using the event characters (i.e. Ardyn, Maria, Lilisette) for the challenge quest.

Wave 1: Locke Manikin, Noctis Manikin, Lightning Manikin (completed on turn 27)

Noctis Manikin will use Warp Strike on its first turn. Don't get broken or you will take HP damage. When its recast gauge is up, it will use Conjure Armiger. Avoid breaks to minimize damage. Lightning Manikin will use Sparkstrike, BRV, Sparkstrike, and Flourish of Steel (HP). Locke will use Sneak Attack and Mug. When it is targeting all, it is using Phoenix Ray.

Have Ardyn use 2 Warp Strike to get his Spectral Charge to V. The field buff takes 8T. This is a basic requirement for using Ardyn. You will need to refresh it with Warp Strike or his EX. Upkeep his Shadowstep buff when it is required. So he gains that instant turn upon breaking a target. I have him use his LD a turn before Noctis Manikin starts to use its recast ability. While Ardyn's Overkill buff from his LD is up, he is immortal. So you don't bother too much on him and he just needs to damage the manikins to death before they kill your party.

Maria needs to use her S2 for her HP+ and BRV+. Lilisette can battery the party with her skills or HP+. As usual, try to conserve skills where possible. Focus on Noctis (since he is most dangerous) and follow by Locke or Lightning.

Wave 2: Ifrit (completed on turn 72)

The Ifrit here is actually easier to handle than the one in the World of Illusions. It doesn't have that annoying framed buff that reduces your damage which requires you to bring a dispeller. Other than it is much tankier, it is much easier.

I have Ardyn refresh his LD buff when it expired. Look for opportunities to break to refresh his Spectral Charge counter. If not, you can use his AA. When Ifrit is about to unleash Hellfire (recast ability), make sure that Ardyn LD buff is active or he will be killed.

I use the summon when Ifrit is less than 50% HP. I have used it when Ardyn's LD buff is about to end or the ladies are unable to shave the BRV. (Well, the party is safe from harm in the summon, so no point maintains that wonderful buff while in summon. Make sure Ardyn refreshes his LD buff once you are out of the summon.

You can have Maria heal the party with her S2 or AA. Her rework makes her pretty decent and viable even she is only EX+0LB. If you have ingot available, do consider investing in her as she is a battery monster at EX+3LB. Lilisette speed down from her S1 and Sap from her Sensual Dance is very useful in maintaining the pace of the fight.
