Diablo 3 had a rough start. It was very stingy with loot due to its built in auction house. Nothing good dropped. Instead you put the junk you found up, tried to undersell it, and then use the gold to buy your stuff. The key to power wasnt loot, it was buying/selling.

This took a long time to fix, but finally after the console release, the reaper of souls expansion, and adventure mode, diablo3 finally became its own, forever under the shadow of diablo 2, but absolutely its own thing and very good at what it was.

-Positives
- The moment to moment gameplay is top notch.
- some skills suck but most are awesome and a lot of them. A whole lot!
- Tons of itemization and goodies
- Seasons are fairly quick and fun
- Great with friends
-Classes are relatively balanced and unique.

-Negatives
- Story mode gets old and is pretty lame
- Launch version really sucked
- No real trading, everything is account bound which leads to a lot of loot thats just "5% better" until you cant really find anything.
- Power creep is beyond disgaea silly.
-music is shit.
-graphic textures have always been blurry mess
- games performance has always been weak
- limited to 4 player max
- visual clutter is insane. Too many affects to the point of silly.
