EDIT. Closing the game down on X1 via Dashboarding does not work, it saves the game for you a that point. Instead of dashboarding out of the game (which saves it) if you sign out of your profile it will close the game down without saving just like PS4 thus thus th exploit works on X1 if you do this.

Seasons arrived in patch 2.5 on the PS4/X1.

This mode fixed the rampant cheating by eliminating trade in both online play and couch co-op. Since you cannot trade at all you cannot duplicate materials nor can you add in modded/hacked gear.

Blizzard also introduced a great anti-cheat mechanism when it came to spending Blood Shards at Kadala or reforging Legendary items in Kanai's Cube.

Prior to patch 2.5 if console users spent their blood shards on 20 belts say or reforged a Legendary Belt in an attempt to get an Ancient version and in their attempts they never got what they wanted they could close the game down without saving...reload their save...and they would get their Blood Shards or reforge materials back...they then could redo that and get different items.

This meant prior to patch 2.5 it was easy for console users to get an Ancient item by simply closing the game without saving and try again on reload.

NOW in patch 2.5 if you close your game...reload...and respend your Blood Shards or reforge a Legendary you will get the SAME results as you did the first time.

Bravo Blizzard...that is a great anti-cheat mechanism.

So Seasons seemed safe!

NOT SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few exploits have been found...I've mentioned them in this video.

I've reported this to Blizzard over a week ago. Looking at the leaderboards it is clear the exploit is being used (one guy in Softcore Monk on PS4 has full 13 Primals in his build) on both consoles.

I'll write out how the exploits work.

As I mention if you reforge a Legendary....do not get a Primal...close the game down without saving...reload and reforge the SAME Legendary you get the SAME results as you did the first time.

So here is what you do...

Let us say we want a Primal Belt...craft 20 yellow Rare belt items at the Blacksmith.

If you reloaded your save and recrafted 20 yellow Rare belts note you would get 20 DIFFERENT rare belts...that is key.

Thus, craft your 20 yellow rare belts...go to Kanai's Cube and at the cost of 25 Death Breaths each upgrade those 20 Rare belts to Legendary's.

You would need 500 Death Breaths which is fairly easy to get.

In the upgrading of 20 yellow Rare belts you are hoping for the Legendary that you want a Primal version of. Once you get the belt you want then stop upgrading rares.

Thus if I were looking for an Inna Belt for my monk then I craft 20 yellow rare belts, and upgrade them. If on the 7th yellow rare belt I get an Inna Belt then I stop upgrading the rest of the yellows.

I then take this newly generated Inna Belt and reforge it in the cube in the hope I get a Primal. Let us say I can reforge 10 times.

That is 500 Forgotten Souls and 50 of each of the Act's 1 through 5 bounty crafting materials required. Again, fairly easy to get.

I reforge 10 times that Inna belt in the hope it is a Primal.

If it is not I simply close the game down.

I reload and all the crafting material I used to craft yellow rares, upgrade them to Legendary's and reforge the one Legendary that I want as a Primal are back in my stash.

I simply repeat the process...craft yellow rare items, upgrade them in the Cube until I get the Legendary I want then I reforge that Legendary in the hope it is a Primal.

It took me ten minutes as a test and 5 reload attempts to get a Primal Inna belt. Easy.

Simply rinse and repeat for all thirteen slots. You will need crafting materials but remember that because you close the game down if you do not get a Primal then each Primal will only ever cost you the cost of crafting 20 rare yellow items, upgrading them and reforging them.

But the fact is you can cherry pick which slot you want a Primal by crafting the specific type of yellow Rare item and this method will be infinitely faster than finding it naturally or Kadala giving it to you.

So by doing the 20 rares to 20 Legendary's and reforging 10 times the one Legendary you want as a Primal the cost per Primal will be:

20 x 15 Reusable Materials, Arcane Dust & Veiled Crystals (craft yellows)
20 x 25 Death Breaths, 50 x Reusable Materials, Arcane Dust & Veiled Crystals (upgrade yellows to Legendary's)
10 x 50 Forgotten Souls, 5 of each Act's Bounty crafting materials (reforging Legendary)

This cost per Primal is small compared to the time, effort and crafting resources required to get them legit.

I will not even mention restoring your save from backup that both PS4 and X1 can do if your Hardcore character dies.

There you go, exploits in Diablo 3 in Seasons that can abuse the mechanics of the Blacksmith and Kanai's Cube to get Primals way faster than a legit process.

Leaderboards and Season 10 ruined...I hope they fix this for Season 11.
