In this video, Diablo 3 Liquid Rainbow Location I show you the location and how to farm for the Liquid Rainbow. It is another part needed to craft the Staff of Herding, it is a very hard find but is easier to do when your bounty in Dahlgur Oasis is to clear the Mysterious Cave Level 2 of all enemies.

If your bounty is not the case you can find it this way:

🔺In Act II, use the Path to the Oasis waypoint, head southeast until you find a small path leading to a watery clearing (see video).

🔺Look for Zaven the Alchemist (merchant by the door), who must be saved from Deathly Haunts (one thing to note is he does not always spawn, so if he's not here end your game and start a new one).

🔺 If he's there (after you kill all the haunts) talk to him and he will open the door to the Mysterious Cave. Once inside look for the Mysterious Chest - Another tricky note here is the Mysterious Chest does not always spawn, just like the merchant. I found it in the 1st level of the cave but it can spawn on the 2nd level as well. So clear out both levels before quitting if it is not in the 1st.

🔺 Once you locate the chest the Liquid Rainbow will be found inside.

The Staff of Herding can be crafted using the Plan: Staff of Herding which requires:
50k gold
Black Mushroom: Act 1 – Cathedral Level 1
Leoric's Shinbone: Act 1 – Leoric's Manor – Fireplace in the entry hall
Wirt's Bell: Act 2 – Purchased from Squirt the Peddler for 100,000 gold
Liquid Rainbow: Act 2 – Dahlgur Oasis – Mysterious Cave
Gibbering Gemstone: Act 3 – Fields of Slaughter – Caverns of Frost

Fun fact: Whimsyshire & Whimsydale are the exact same level except Whimsyshire requires you to assemble the Staff of Herding while Whimsydale requires you to murder a Goblin.
