First note is obvious, I did this playthrough with a custom-made character. I used a character editor to get max level, health and skill points in all abilities, that way I could focus more on recording and save a lot of time. After all, this is not a strategy guide in how to play the game, I just wanted to cover all quests; where to pick them up and how to finish them.
To be honest, I meant to do the video in a slightly different way, and after some time I found more efficient ways to record. It became more obvious to me when I finally edited everything together, but I didn't want to record everything again. So some parts of travel are missing, especially in the beginning, because I forgot to buy Town Portals... Another minor flaw is that some quests are done in wrong order even if I tried to plan ahead. I don't know if it's possible to do all quests in perfect order though, as some are in progress at the same time regardless. This also put some quest texts in weird order, and I might have forgotten to make images of every update to update the upper right side. However, only for a short time, and nothing is incorrect, just not perfectly up to date.
Speaking of quests, it's worth mentioning that most quests in the game are optional. In Act 1, you can actually run directly to Andariel and finish the act without picking up any quests along the way (you would get the final quest once you approach the final room). Also, many quests are possible to do in any order you like. You can even go back to a previous act and do some quests later if you would like. But I tried my best to do them in order.
When it comes to speech I didn't include that while recording, or the video would have been much longer. The idea of post-adding speech came after I started editing the video. However, that required a lot of creative thinking and cutting in speech. When you suddenly hear Deckard Cain talk in the middle of a map, it's because I thought it felt like a good place to explain a certain mechanic or game lore.
Far from all speech is included though, and those times where several characters talk at the same time (or have a few talks in a row), I just had to pick the one I felt was most appropriate or important. In the end I think the video gained so much from it, so even if I might have missed a few important talks, it is much better than not having them at all. It also game me the opportunity to add speech to explain the darkness in the desert in Act 2, as I never went back to town at that point.
Too bad on killing Baal behind a pillar, so the death animation was hidden...

As a final note: I struggeled with myself to use "Diablo 2" or "Diablo II", It's not an easy choice even though the title is clear.
