I loved Trang Oul's Avatar set so much, that I have been playing it nearly a week straight with tons of hours clocked in. I tested every single skill with the build as well as every necromancer item. This is the ultimate best I came up with that suits my play style. You will be using Skeletal Mage with Life Support as your major source of damage. The player should also use both items of the Jesseth Arms set, scythe and shield. Also, the Endless Walk set is necessary for higher greater rifts.
Life Support [ Skeletal Mage ]
This is the major damage output for the build. It will synergize with the 3300% Damage from the Trang Oul Set. We choose life support because it cost health and skills that cost health are the only ones that receive the damage bonus from Trangs. This is an important ability to have up if you are running. With other items you want to have plenty of curses up to increase damage. Essence can be a huge problem, and I have come across more essence troubles in bounty runs. If you can keep killing and manage essence enough, through getting a "rotation" learned it won't be a problem in greater rifts or regular rifts.
Command Skeletons [ Dark Mending ]
The player will need some extra healing, due to losing health from casting skeletal mage so often. Since Trang Oul's set can "engorge" the player ( grant more maximum health ). For this to trigger you will need health skills or runes to be used. Dark Mending works as it heals 0.5% of your life per skeleton attack. Use this in combination with Blood Rush to keep your engorged status at a constant 100. These skeletons can also serve as meat shields to help defend the life of our unholy necromancer.
Decrepify [ Dizzying Curse ]
Many people use this ability with their Trang Oul specializations. It goes in combination very well with a Krysbin Ring and a Dayntee's binding belt. Make sure you have all of those items when using this skill. Dizzying curse will "proc" the first legendary bonus on the Krysbin ring. Dayntee's gives a huge 50% defensive boost whenever this curse is applied to even one single enemy. Having two curses will also increase our damage and it synergizes with Corroded Fang, which will be another cube item.
Devour [ Devouring Aura ]
This ability is used to gain essence on the move. You do not have to wait and click the button so this makes it much easier to apply during the heat of battle. You will need the essence to cast two spells mainly. These are the command option from command skeletons, and your skeletal mages. Essence can be a huge problem so this ability is nearly a must for Trang Oul blood users.
Blood Rush [ All Runes ]
Blood Rush is the most used move in the specialization. It will have access to all runes due to the 2nd Trang Oul's Avatar set bonus. Know that it can create corpses and this is good to regain essence especially in a tight spot. You can transfusion through enemies, this will grant health as well as armor from the potency rune activating. Finally metabolism will grant an extra charge of the skill. This is your mobility move and escape route as well as being good for pure positioning. As I said before this is going to be your most used ability or at least the one you should have on the right or left click for your mouse.
Frailty [ Aura of Frailty ]
Aura of Frailty can potentially be an optional skill choice. I just prefer it because of the no need to think about using it, with the aura rune. The ability will automatically kill all enemies under 15% health. This is amazing for running faster and just amazing in general. It doubles with potency due to synergizing with several other items in the builds spec. Such as trang oul's corroded fang and Krysbin sentence ring. It will also add an extra curse in for spreading malediction passive ability. The range isn't the best, so you may want to consider a rune that can be cast. However, that will eat more essence and in the case of the early grave rune, more health/life.
Extended Servitude [ Passive #1 ]
Extended Servitude is useful and will synergize with the Circle Of Nailuj's Evol ring. You will be granted an extra amount of time for your Skeletal Mages to be used. This also works with revive minions, however revive is really difficult to use and one of the worst skills for the Necromancer at the moment. I really feel revive needs some sort of damage buff or something to make it more viable.
Spreading Malediction [ Passive #2 ]
This ability is a nice damage boost and should be used because we have two curses in our skill tab. Remember it works if casts on several enemies all over the map. It has no radius so the more enemies affected by this curse all around, the more damage you and your necromancer will put out.
