There was a new infected creature introduced in this film that wasn’t actually created through the T-Virus. They are the ones with flower-like mouths, and they are called majini. The Majini were introduced in Resident Evil 5, and they are the result of a parasitic organism that Umbrella Corporation’s rival company, Tricell Inc created. Tricell Inc based the organism off of the Las Plagas virus that was introduced in Resident Evil 4. While this movie doesn’t explore the origins of the creatures, they are a clear replica of those organisms.
