1,553Some concepts from Prometheus ended up getting recycled and used in this film. At first, the studio wanted certain aspects removed from Prometheus so that he could be used as more of a standalone film instead of a true prequel to the Alien franchise. One of these aspects is David revealing his true disdain for humanity and the fact that he uses one of them as a victim for the facehugger. Also, in the bonus material, there is a clip of David explaining things in his lab. He explains how he created new lifeforms after experimenting on the black mutagen, and he was able to create the Xenomorph eggs by combining parts of the Neomorph and Shaw’s organs with the black mutagen.
