There is a specific reason for the way the sweets are arranged on Eddie's table! While Venom loves chocolate, it seems as though he doesn’t like a particular colour of chocolate. Throughout the movie we can see discarded M&M wrappers and bags, and in one instance we can see a bag of them on the table with all of the red M&M’s removed. This was done by Venom as he is afraid of the “red ones,” meaning a red alien symbiote, and as we know in the movie, Venom is afraid of his red symbiote counterpart, Carnage.
