To enable Widescreen and/or 60fps:

Open settings and go to General Settings
Untick "hide advanced settings"
Right click on Diddy Kong Racing and open "Pick enhancement..."
Enable the one you want and run Diddy Kong Racing

When using the 60fps mode and if it doesn't feel smooth enough try:
Right click diddy kong racing
Edit game settings
Counter factor: 1 (default 2)
VI Refresh rate: 2500 (default 1500)
