Dirt 1 - Pikes Peak Hill Climb in under 7 minutes with Toyota Celica GT
Dirt 1 features a variety of tracks in a variety of disciplines but the highlight of the game has got to be the epic Pikes Peak Hill Climb in its mixed surface incarnation. Here you can see me breaking the 7 minute barrier on the full track with Rod Millen's Toyota Celica GT.

Pikes Peak is the one of the most epic real life tracks in the world and it's particularly interesting in the mixed surface incarnation that existed from around 2002 to 2011. Sadly there are not many video games that feature the full track and some of them like Dirt Rally and Loeb Rally have rather poor handling with gamepad, so the best way to drive Pikes Peak for me personally is definitely in Dirt 1.
The Toyota Celica GT was able to win the real life event in 1994, 1996 and 1997, losing by less than a second to the Suzuki Escudo in 1995.
In real life the magic barrier on the gravel and mixed surface track used to be 10 minutes but in Dirt 1 you are going quite a bit faster, so here it is actually possible to get under 7 minutes. With this car and my settings I had to do a nearly flawless run to achieve this and it took me about 4 hours of practice in total but I had a lot of fun and I am proud of my achievement. My run was done with the gearbox final drive set to 2 and everything else on default.
