if you're struggling from long start-up times or laggy video previews, then it might be an issue with having too much loaded at once. You can either manually disable, or enable... but this automated one-click method is so much better.

Of course, getting rid of plugins and addons that you'll never use is the best way, but this is a good way to keep lots and still have awesome performance when you're not actively using the plugins.
