AColony and Exipelago. Both, very similar colony builder survival games released recently into early access. Similar looks, similar ideas. What if we played AColony and Exipelago...at the same time?

In Exipelago it's your turn to make your tribe into a bustling kingdom. Beside gathering food & shelter to support the colony they also want to make themself a known entity by building the greatest structures.
Exipelago is a sandbox village managment game, where everything you see is procedurally generated and customisable. Every tree you fell will give it's distinct type of wood, which can be processed into it's distinct type of plank to ultimately craft an item which has the optical style of the tree it was originally made out of. The same is true for every other ressource, like different types of rock and ore - both being found by digging down into the earth.
Featuring a true voxel experience - everything you see can be broken down, placed elsewhere or get transformed into something else in a dynamically reacting world. Different types of shapes also give you more freedom to just build your imagination and let your tribe use it.

AColony
A colony building game with an emphasis on unexpected events, online co-op, and managing a unique community. The story begins with nothing more than a few colonists and limited resources in an unknown world.
BUILD YOUR COLONY
With the right materials, you can build multi-story buildings, as well as a base that extends underground or into the mountains. In addition, there is a large selection of furniture, pictures and other decoration options to customize the individual rooms according to your wishes.
RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES
Research numerous technologies and use them to unlock more advanced weapons, items, machines and other construction elements. The technology tree offers over 50 individual technology fields and is divided into 4 ages - basic, modern, computer and nuclear age.
EVENTS
While your colony is frequently visited by wanderers, traders, and other groups, less peaceful individuals may also become aware of your community. Whether it's hostile colonists, dangerous animals, or intelligent insects, you should always have a good defense strategy in place. Nature, of course, provides a number of events that can hasten the death of your colonists.
INDIVIDUAL COLONISTS
Each colonist is an individual person and has the following characteristics:
