Distance: VR survival racing in a deadly sci-fi cityscape [HTC Vive Gameplay]

drive, jump, and fly through a sci-fi cityscape.
Distance supports virtual reality on both the Oculus Rift CV1 and HTC Vive HMDs. It also supports regular PC and PS4 gameplay. The goal of the game is to race through levels as fast as possible, score points, and avoid deadly obstacles. Distance has you jumping over obstacles, driving on walls and ceilings, and even deploying wings to fly. All the while you have to avoid barriers, lasers, spinning saw wheels, and other deadly obstacles.
Distance supports multiple gameplay modes:
Adventure mode is a single player experience that takes you through multiple levels, teaching you the game mechanics and giving some story about the game's world. This video takes place in adventure mode.
You can also play online multiplayer, LAN, or split-screen with multiple modes such as Sprint, Reverse Tag, Stunt, and more.
Trackmogrify mode randomly generates tracks to race through, and the game uses a seed system so you can replay tracks that you like.
Level editor mode lets you create customized tracks and share them with other online users.
This game is currently in early access but it is already packed with features and the gameplay is great. There is more content and VR optimization to come!

Distance is a survival racing game that combines the intense action of arcade racing with the exploration of an atmospheric world. You control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly through a chaotic and twisted city. The world has a mysterious history, and as you explore you'll be able to uncover pieces of its past.
The roads are treacherous and unpredictable with obstacles around every corner. Instead of doing laps on a loop, you'll be trying to survive to the end in the quickest time. Since your car has several abilities, it allows you to not only drive fast on the track but also upside down and on buildings and walls! You can also fly to discover new shortcuts and paths. You'll be able to take on the roads alone, or in multiplayer with your friends!
The game is a spiritual successor to the multi-award winning game Nitronic Rush, created by ourselves and 5 others at DigiPen Institute of Technology. It was widely praised for its innovative mechanics, visual style, audio design, and atmosphere.
