Battle Dome: VR online FPS for HTC Vive - Gameplay with every gun
Gameplay from Battle Dome, a team shooter game for HTC Vive VR with unique territory control mechanics.
Battle Dome uses a teleportation mechanic for moving around the map, but you can only teleport to squares that have been painted by your team. Each player has the option of equipping a paint gun and painting the floor to enable teleportation for his team or to paint over the enemy team's paint to deny their teleportation. The goal is to reach the other team's base and destroy their core.
Battle Dome offers you the tactical choice of using a paint gun and a pistol, or using a more powerful two-handed weapon. There are currently a variety of guns in the game: regular pistol, automatic pistol, sword, shield, automatic assault rifle, semi-auto laser rifle, shotgun, bazooka, sniper rifle, and multiple different paint guns. Teams need to strike a balance between players with paint guns and players with more powerful weapons.
Battle Dome is currently in early access, but it is one of the most promising games on the HTC Vive. The core mechanics work great and I had a ton of fun playing even though the graphics, sounds, and animations still need work. The game currently costs $15.
