Disturbing Video Game Music 25: Overworld with no Crystals - Glover
162Glover is a delightful yet incredibly frustrating 3D adventure platformer. You play as the titular Glover, the sentient glove of a wise wizard who guards 6 magic crystals that keep their worlds in balance. Disaster strikes when the wizard accidentally mixes the wrong ingredients when trying to make the Philosopher's Stone, not only is there a catastrophic magic explosion that turns the wizard to stone and scatters the crystals across the neighboring planes of existence but Glover's brother is turned into the evil Cross-Stitch who is hellbent on keeping the worlds in chaos.
With the crystals gone all the worlds fall apart, most of all Glover's world which is now hellish in coloration and with dying flora and fauna. With each crystal Glover recovers the world slowly recovers, but initially it is a shadow of its former self with a truly twisted version of the original theme playing.
