Higan and Subaru confront Akamaru. He is impressed that the pair were able to see through his deception and that the time has now come
for them to die. Akamaru attacks! Boss fight!. (Awesome boss music plays again).

Have someone cast Nude magic on Akamaru to lower his defense, then just have Higan attack with Thunder Cutter throughout this fight.
With Subaru there are two roles she can play in this fight. If you were able to get her most powerful summons from the Egg Hatchery
side quest, then use that for huge damage (two or three summons should do it). If not, then best to have her in a supporting role is healer and attack with her other summons. Keep up the offensive on the boss and it will go down in no time.

Akamaru is defeated. He screams out the name "Ninigi" then disappears. And so with Akamaru gone, the Bloodshed Tower crumbles and the red rain ceases.

A triumphant Higan and Subaru return to the Peacock Shrine. A now freed and grateful Peacock Spirit thanks the duo and gives them a piece of her power; The Peacock Sash, which when equipped, lowers magic points consumption. Nice!.

With all affairs settled in the Peacock Nation, its time to move to the next nation....
