This is the first game I've played in ages, I was itching to get started, but I had to wait at least half an hour before I could even join in, but the wait was worth while.

There were 12 players on Gameranger, so we ended up having two rooms. I know the numbers may not sound much, but for our community that's good. I could only fit in one match that evening so I made the most of it. I was hoping to play one of my maps, but I'll settle for DM7 - Fear any-day. This is a fairly smallish map, but one of the all time favorites, then and now!

What can I say, the score tells it all. For some reason, we decided to turtle near our LZ, I sent a squad of meds, set to defensive mode, to watch the narrow passage for sneak attacks and another to our right flank, just in-case of enemy flanking maneuvers. Fortunately for us they decided to attack down the middle.

I have been in some games when both teams have bought loads of Arty units, and the match can become a war of attrition as one team tries to bombard the other with arty fire. Luckily this was more of a balanced game, and I think we only had limited arty units on the battle-field. I normally play with Cray, but I decided to go with OND for this match, the reason is I find their specials slightly more powerful than the Cray's and they also move faster.

This game started slowly with both teams setting up, and like I said the team I was on decided to camp near our LZ and wait for the opposition to come to us. I started laying my mines and also using my arty in the early rounds.

Anyway, enjoy the footage, and yes I was surprised with my score, I even beat _nox_

There was very little chatter, if any, going on, which is a real shame as we all have Ventrilo running, so it would have been better if we coordinated our attacks and defense, but all in all it was a good game. I was on the winning side for a change.

For those who want to know, the background music is Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber, one of the most haunting and inspiring tunes around, and yes it was the theme tune used on the PC game Homeworld.
