Do Not Use CrashPlan as a Backup Service! | Slow Speeds & Intermittent Connectivity
31CrashPlan is advertised as an "Automatic Online Backup" which allows for different plans depending on the needs of the user. At the core it is an affordable service to keep your PC fully backed up, however after 3 months of utilizing it I cancelled the rest of my membership. Not only is the upload speed absolutely abysmal (almost always utilizing less than 1% of my upload speed) but the service on the PC itself can also be flaky. On top of that many people, including myself, have claimed to have issues logging in just to access their files! A backup you cannot access is not a backup, it is a waste of space.
